The Vintage Daisy

I'm an early eighties child. Wife to my fellow nerdy soul mate. Mother to two cheeky little monkeys. Crafter who has an obsession to yarn and fabrics. Appreciates vintage and hand made items. Living frugally but happily and just enjoying the simple pleasures in life in Sydney Australia. My family are my world..

  • Puffy Daisy Granny Blanket

I am joining in with Ginny this week for a yarn along.

Well after I finished my daisy granny blanket for little Miss J, I thought it only fair that I make one for Miss T as well (my one year old).

It was also a good way of using up the small little bits and pieces of left over yarn from my yarn stash. No wastage here. I had all these small bits of different coloured yarn from various projects, a lot of them were quite short and not quite long enough to crochet into a square with, so I used them for the centres of the daisies, it also helps add colour to the blanket. I’ve made these daisies much smaller to the ones on Miss J’s blanket, but they are a lot puffier. I am about halfway done and still deciding on what edging I would like this blanket to have.

I have 32 more squares to make before I finish, here’s hoping I will be finished over the next couple of weeks, spring is Just around the corner here in OZ, and the weather is starting to warm up, I do hope that Miss T gets to enjoy her blanket this year before it gets too warm.
