The Vintage Daisy

I'm an early eighties child. Wife to my fellow nerdy soul mate. Mother to two cheeky little monkeys. Crafter who has an obsession to yarn and fabrics. Appreciates vintage and hand made items. Living frugally but happily and just enjoying the simple pleasures in life in Sydney Australia. My family are my world..

Welcome!

  • Patchwork Cushion Cover.

The other day I decided to take a break from my many yarny projects and took out my fabric stash for a little bit of sewing goodness.

I whipped up this patchwork cushion cover, it is zip less so it was extra easy and quicker to make. And oh my goodness I think I am in love! I need to make more more more!! This is just too darn cute.

  • A mini DIY project.

This weekend I decided to revamp an old shelf in my girls bedroom. I used adhesive paper squares (which I already had in my craft stash) and stuck them down onto the shelves, by mixing and matching different patterns together I was able to create something different and fun for my girls.

Took me 15 minutes to complete, too simple. Try it. Such a great way to use up old craft supplies and give new life to old furniture.
