The Vintage Daisy

I'm an early eighties child. Wife to my fellow nerdy soul mate. Mother to two cheeky little monkeys. Crafter who has an obsession to yarn and fabrics. Appreciates vintage and hand made items. Living frugally but happily and just enjoying the simple pleasures in life in Sydney Australia. My family are my world..

Welcome!

I’m going to kick start this blog with a TADA moment of my ripple blanket!
I FINALLY finished my first ever ripple blanket. So happy with how it turned out. It looks right at home on our bed. I’m glad it is still winter here in OZ. I can thoroughly enjoy it, and I am sure it will make an appearance next winter and the winter after that. I assure you it is very very warm and the colours are just so cheerful, they make me smile. (When I was making this blanket I had no colour pattern in mind, I just simply picked up random colours from my stash, surprisingly worked out well).
I followed the ripple pattern from the lovely Lucy at Attic24 blog. She is so talented, and it is so nice of her to share her patterns so we can make lovely things too. Thanks Lucy!
